Wooden Lali / Drum 6 Inch Black

A Lali is a Fijian drum that is made out of wood. Lali played an important role in the traditional Fijian culture. It was used as a form of communication to announce births, deaths and wars. Lali is still used in Fijian villages to gather people of the area together for meetings, church services etc. It is played with hands using two soft sticks to avoid damage to the Lali. The sound of Lali can be heard from a distance to alert the village people.
